A court in Malkajgiri has directed the police to register a case of atrocity against the retired OU Professor Kanche Illaiah for targetting one single community. The court which heard the arguments on both sides had finally given directions for registering a case under Section 153A, 153B, 295A, 509 of IPC, Sc, ST atrocity case. The court further directed the police to submit the report within 10 days.

Never in the past, the Maoists Party of India has entered into the cast-war being waged by the Osmania University retired Professor Kanche Illaiah. The party seems to have taken a stand on the ongoing tussle over caste conflicts in view of Illaiah's recent controversial book 'Komatollu Samajika Smugglerlu' and has come to the rescue of the retired Professor.

In a statement issued here today, the official spokesperson of the CPI (Maoists) Jagan condemned the attempts being made to prevent Illaiah from expressing his opinion on social issues. "No one has any authority to suppress his fundamental right of freedom of expression", said Jagan.

He further urged to support Kanche Illaiah while condemning the murderous politics of Sangh Parivar in collusion with the governments. He alleged that Sangh Parivar is working hard to implement Hindu fascist Brahmanical policies to re-establish Hindu Raaj with the help of BJP government. The Sangh Parivaar forces are resorting to physical attacks on Dalits and Muslims in the country. They even murdered rationalists like Dabolkar, Pansari, Gouri Lankesh and now they are targetting Kanche Illaiah for airing his views on social issues. Modi, KCR and Chandra Babu had to take the responsibility if anything happens to Kanche Illaiah as the fascist forces have been threatening to kill him openly. Babu has already threatened to ban the latter's book in Andhra Pradesh which is nothing less than suppressing his fundamental right to express his views.
