Kavitha visits Nandigama, says granting Special Status is Centre’s responsibility

Nandigama, AP: Nizamabad MP Kavitha said though we were separated geographically would continue to remain as brothers and sisters. She was here in Nandigama village in Andhra Pradesh bordering Telangana to attend a family function of her old friend Vinutha. In fact, Vinutha's father Krishna Murthy earlier worked as personal secretary to KCR when he was transport minister in TD's regime. Since then, Vinutha and Kavitha remained good friends. Incidentally, Krishna Murthy's son too was a classmate of KTR. However, their friendship continued to remain intact although the state was bifurcated.

Her first visit to Andhra Pradesh after the bifurcation has literally drawn the attention of local people and the media who gathered in large numbers to have a glimpse of Kavitha. She too enjoyed their company by interacting with them. She also tied rakhis to the local youth who celebrated her visit by distributing sweets. She wished that the Andhra and Telangana people would move together like brothers and sisters. To a specific query on the Special Status to AP, Kavitha said that it is the responsibility of the Center to accord special status to the Andhra Pradesh.
